Mary Ellen Arvold, P.N.P

Mary Ellen Arvold is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. She is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and has been practicing in Juneau for more than 34 years. Mary Ellen is a Fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Mary Ellen is an avid fan of the outdoors, enjoying hiking, cross-country skiing and kayaking, as well as gardening and wood working. She is married to Dave Haas and they have one son Jake, who lives in Portland, Oregon.

 

 

 

George W. Brown, M.D.

Dr. George Brown received his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Hawaii Children's Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Brown is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow. Dr. Brown's primary interest is in preventing physical and emotional problems for children, with familial support. He believes that both family and community are far more important than expert opinions. He strongly recommends a lifestyle that includes a good deal of walking, fish & vegetable eating and playing outdoors.

Amy Dressel, M.D.


Dr. Amy Dressel received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine, in Denver, Colorado. She completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Amy is an active member of our community, including involvement with the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council, the FASD Clinic, the Vaccinate Juneau's Kids Coalition and the Child Advocacy Center, to name a few. In addition, she frequently travels to outlying Southeast communities, providing medical care to other Alaskan children. She enjoys traveling, family, dogs, books and hanging out with as many kids as she can.

Amy Elizabeth Dressel, M.D. - Children's Care in Juneau, AK

Monica Gross, M.D.


Dr. Monica Gross received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan. Dr. Gross is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In her spare time, Dr. Gross enjoys being outside as much as possible. Her interests include hiking, running, skiing and boating. She is happily married to Dr. Alan Gross and they have four teenage & adult children, meaning she's "heard it all".

Monica Gross, M.D. - Children's Care in Juneau, AK

Kathy Stepien, M.D.


Dr. Kathy Stepien completed medical school at the Unviersity of Washington and her pediatric residency at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. Though she is new to Glacier Pediatrics, she previously lived in Juneau and worked as a physical therapist, before leaving to pursue a medical degree. We couldn't be happier to have her on board!
